专利说明:
FINISHING ASSEMBLY MOUNTED IN COVERING OR FLOORING A COATING Technical area The present invention relates to a novel finishing assembly for coating, and in particular for floor covering, which can be used in a first configuration covering a coating or in a second configuration flush with the coating. This finishing assembly can for example be used as a stair tread, or when placed on a floor, as a connecting element between two floor coverings or as a threshold element or stop element. Prior art In the field of laying flooring (floating floors, laminated panels, carpet, etc.), it is common practice to use finishing assemblies comprising a finishing profile used as a transition or stop element between a coating and the floor or between two coatings of different thicknesses. Among these finishing sets, there are also finishing sets, said nosing, with a finishing profile suitable for stair treads. Multifunctional finishing assemblies for floor covering are described, for example, in international patent applications WO 2006/074824 and WO2006 / 079468. The finishing profile is most often intended to be used for covering the edge of the coating, and not outcropping. But the interest and growing demand from users of floating floor coverings for practical and aesthetically pleasing finishes is encouraging manufacturers to offer finishing sets with a non-recoverable finishing profile, but are expected to to be mounted flush with the coating. More particularly, a flush profile, in addition to improving the aesthetic appearance, not only facilitates the movement of people and rolling devices (chairs, stretchers, trolleys, ...), but also improves the security of persons in general. Objective of the invention The main object of the present invention is to propose a new finishing assembly for coating, and in particular for floor covering, which can easily be laid over a coating, or can be easily configured and placed flush with said coating. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The invention thus has as its first object a finish assembly for coating, in particular for floor covering, said assembly comprising a finishing profile and an adaptation element. The adapter member includes a wedging plate, a cover plate and a connecting wall, which connects the wedging plate to the cover plate. The finishing profile is positioned on the setting plate so that an upper face of the finishing profile and an upper face of the cover plate are adjacent and flush in the extension of one another. Said finishing assembly further comprises a film which is applied and fixed on said upper faces of the finishing profile and the cover plate, so as to cover the transition zone between said upper faces, the finishing profile being removable relative to to the adaptation element once the finishing profile and the cover plate are separated from one another by cutting the film which connects them. More particularly, but optionally according to the invention, the finishing assembly comprises the following additional and optional technical features, taken separately or in combination: the finishing profile is positioned in abutment against the connecting wall which makes in this case office wall stop; - The connecting wall is substantially perpendicular to the wedging plate and the cover plate. the cover plate extends transversely, and preferably substantially at right angles, the connecting plate in the opposite direction to the wedging plate; - The thickness (e1) of the wedging plate is substantially equal to, and preferably equal to, the thickness (e2) of the cover plate; - The finishing profile and the adaptation element comprise assembly means for locking in translation of the finishing profile relative to the adapter element in a direction (Y) substantially parallel to the wedging plate and substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (X) of the finishing assembly; - The finishing profile and the adaptation element comprise assembly means for locking in translation of the finishing profile relative to the adapter element in a direction (Z) substantially perpendicular to the wedging plate. the finishing profile constitutes a step nose; - The finishing profile has a geometry adapted to form a stop profile or transition edge of a coating; The invention also relates to a method of laying a finishing assembly referred to above, at the edge of a coating (RS), and in particular a floor covering, in which the finishing assembly is positioned by relative to the coating so that the cover plate is positioned to overlap the coating. Finally, a subject of the invention is a process for laying a finishing assembly referred to above in a coating, and in particular a floor covering, during which the film of the finishing assembly is cut, separating the finishing profile and the adaptation element, and positioning the finishing profile (1; 1 ') flush with respect to the coating. This finishing assembly of FIG. 1 comprises a finishing profile 1 and an adaptation element 2 of the same length L given, which are covered by a decorative film 3. In the appended figures, only a short length L of this profile 1 , of the adaptation element 2 and the film 3 is shown, it being specified that these parts extend in practice over a greater length L than that shown. The finishing profile 1 (FIG. 1) is a linear piece which extends in the longitudinal direction X. This finishing profile can be, for example, a machined piece made of wood or the like, or an extruded part made of plastic material, in particular PVC or similar, or metal, especially aluminum or the like. In the particular example, the finishing profile 1 is monobloc. In another variant, it could include several pieces assembled. In this variant embodiment, the finishing profile 1 has a particular L-shaped geometry adapted to perform a stair nose function. More particularly, the finishing profile 1 consists of a main part 10 forming a thick plate of thickness E, extended substantially at right angles by a short portion 11 intended to form the edge of the step nosing. The main part 10 of the finishing profile comprises (FIG. 2) a substantially flat upper face 10a, a substantially flat lower face 10b, and a longitudinal lateral face 10c corresponding to the edge of the main part 10. The adapter element 2 is a linear profile which can for example be made of wood, plastic or metal. This adaptation element comprises a first plate 20, called wedging, of given thickness (e1), which has a substantially flat upper face 20a, and a substantially flat bottom face 20b. This wedging plate 20 is extended at one end by a so-called abutment wall 21 oriented transversely to the wedging plate 20. In the example illustrated, this abutment wall 21 is substantially perpendicular to the wedging plate 20. abutment wall 21 is extended, in the opposite direction to the wedging plate 20, by a second plate 22, said covering, thickness (e2), which is oriented transversely to the abutment wall 21, and which particularly is substantially perpendicular to the abutment wall 21. In the particular example illustrated, the cover plate 22 has a substantially flat upper face 22a and a substantially flat bottom face 22b. The two plates 20 and 22 are substantially parallel. The thickness (e1) of the wedging plate 20 is substantially equal to, and preferably equal to, the thickness (e2) of the cover plate 22. With reference to FIG. 4, the finishing profile 1 is positioned on the matching element 2 so that the lower face 10b of its main part 10 is laid flat on the upper face 20a of the wedging plate 20 , and that the longitudinal side face 10c of its main part 10 is positioned in abutment against one of the faces 21a of the abutment wall 21. The height of the abutment wall 21 and the thickness (e2) of the cover plate 22 are adapted with respect to the thickness (E) of the main portion 10 of the finishing profile 1, so that the upper face 10a of the main part 10 of the finishing profile 1 and the upper face 22a of the cover plate 22 are adjacent and flush in the extension of one another, as illustrated in particular in Figure 4. More particularly, but not necessarily, the finishing profile 1 and the adaptation element 2 comprise interlocking assembly means for locking in translation the finishing profile 1 with respect to the adaptation element 2 in the Y direction (Figure 4) which is substantially parallel to the wedging plate (20) and substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (X) of the finishing assembly. In the particular example of FIGS. 1 to 5, these assembly means comprise a longitudinal lug 20d, which is in contact with the upper face 20a of the wedging plate 20, and which is able to be fitted into a groove longitudinally adapted 10d made in the lower face 10b of the main portion 10 of the finishing profile 1. More particularly, but not necessarily, the finishing profile 1 and the adaptation element 2 comprise interlocking assembly means for locking in translation the finishing profile 1 with respect to the adaptation element 2 in the Z direction (Figure 4) perpendicular to the wedging plate 20. In the particular example of Figures 1 to 5, these assembly means comprise a longitudinal groove 10e; which is made in part 11 just below the lower face 10b of the main part 10 of the profile 1. This groove 10e is adapted relative to the thickness (e1) of the wedging plate 20 so that the lateral edge 20c of the plate 20, which is opposite the abutment wall 21, can be fitted into the longitudinal groove 10e. In another variant embodiment, the groove 10e could be omitted; in this case, the lateral edge 20c of the wedging plate 20 can be against the part 11 of the profile 1 or be distant from this part 11. Referring to Figure 1, the film 3 is applied and fixed on the upper face 10a of the finishing profile 1 and on the upper face 22a of the cover plate 22, so as to mask the longitudinal transition zone ZT between said faces higher. In this variant, the film covers the entire finishing profile, including the external face of the part 11 which extends the face 10a of the main part, 10. The fixing of this film 3 is obtained by any known fastening means, and for example by gluing and / or heat sealing. The film 3 is for example a decorative coating, in particular paper, melamine or wood veneer. This film 3 may be of the monolayer type or of the multilayer type. The film 3 serves as a decorative element to the finishing profile 1 and the cover plate 22, so that they are for example matched to the decorations of the flooring. With reference to FIG. 6, the finishing assembly which has just been described is used as a stair nosing, while being placed on a step M, in the covering of a floor covering RS, such as for example a carpet or a carpet, placed on this step M. In this configuration, the cover plate 22 is placed in overlap on the edge of the coating RS. The film 3 makes it possible to connect the finishing profile 1 to the cover plate 22, while covering the longitudinal transition zone ZT (FIG. 4) between these two elements. This longitudinal transition zone being covered by the film 3, the finishing assembly is more aesthetic; it is also more robust and wears less quickly; it also avoids a clogging of the space between the finishing profile 1 and the cover plate 22. With reference to FIG. 6, the finishing assembly which has just been described has been transformed, so as to use the finishing profile 1 as a step nosing, flush with the same RS floor covering, placed on a step M To obtain this outcropping, the thickness E 'of the coating RS is substantially equal to the thickness E of the main part 10 of the finishing profile 1. To change from the overlapping configuration (FIG. 6) to the flush configuration (FIG. 8), it is sufficient to cut the film 3 so that the finishing profile 1 is no longer connected by the film 3 to the plate of FIG. covering 22 of the adapter element 2, then separating the finishing profile 1 and the adapter element 2, in order to use the finishing profile alone. With reference to FIG. 7, this cutting of the film 3 can be carried out by means of a cutting tool 4 comprising a cutting blade 40. The cutting blade 40 of the tool 4 is introduced under the film 3 at the level of the longitudinal transition zone between the cover plate 22 and the main part 10 of the finishing profile 1. Then the blade 40 is moved linearly in the longitudinal direction X, so as to cut the film 3 cleanly along the entire length of the finishing set. During cutting, the blade 40 is advantageously guided by the two longitudinal edges vis-à-vis the cover plate 22 and the main part 10 of the finishing profile. In the variant of FIGS. 1 to 5, in order to facilitate the insertion of the cutting blade 40 under the film 3, in the longitudinal space between the cover plate 22 and the main part 10 of the finishing profile 1, angle 23 (Figure 3) at the junction between the abutment wall 21 and the cover plate 22 is chamfered. For the same purpose, one could also chamfer the edge of the part 10 of the finishing profile 1 which is opposite the cover plate 22. FIG. 9 shows another variant embodiment of a finishing assembly of the invention comprising a finishing profile 1 ', an adaptation element 2' and a film 3 applied and fixed on the upper faces 10a and 22a of the finishing profile 1 'and the cover plate 22 of adaptation element 2'. In the particular variant of FIG. 9, the adaptation element 2 'comprises a longitudinal lug 24 which is in contact with the abutment face 21a of the abutment wall 21, and which is able to be fitted into a longitudinal groove 10f made in the lateral face 10c of the main part 10 of the finishing profile 1. This lug 24 and the groove 10f make it possible to block in translation the finishing profile 1 'with respect to the adapter element 2' in the direction Z perpendicular to the wedging plate 20. With reference to FIG. 11, this finishing assembly is used to make the transition between an RS floor covering (for example carpet, parquet, tiling, etc.) and the floor (or another coating of smaller thickness). . In this configuration the cover plate 22 is positioned in overlap on the RS coating. Referring to Figure 12, the finishing profile 1 'of the assembly of Figure 9 is used alone (after cutting film 3 and separation with the adapter element 2') to achieve the transition between a floor covering RS and the ground (or another coating of lower thickness). In this configuration, the finishing profile 1 'is flush with the RS coating. In the variants which have been described, the wall 21 of the adaptation element 2 or 2 'serves as a stop for the finishing profile 1 or 1'. This characteristic, although preferential, is however not essential to the invention. In other variants, the wall 21 could fulfill only a rigid connection function between the wedging plate 20 and the cover plate 22, without the finishing profile 1 or 1 'being positioned in contact with this wall 21. The invention is not limited to the particular geometry of the finishing profiles 1 and 1 'of the appended figures. For example in another variant the upper face of the finishing profile 1 or 1 'could have a profile adapted to perform a stop function at the edge of a coating.
